Allan Ross Texas Freedom Parade

Methodist Church is proud to be there.

Last week I did something I never thought I would do. I went to a gay pride parade. The link to the title lets you peak into the depth of where this life style has entered; into the Mayors office.

American Airlines, Best Buy, Coke, Pepsi, Starbucks, Several community churches, unity churches, and many other main line businesses have plunged into the bankrupt lifestyle of homosexual, transsexual, bisexual, lesbian, and other deviant Godless behaviors.

In case you christian types out there who are starting to accept this as something God will overlook, I think you have to get past these scriptures first:

Rom 1:21
For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Rom 1:22
Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23
and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
Rom 1:24
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
Rom 1:25
because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Rom 1:26
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;
Rom 1:27
and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Rom 1:28
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
Rom 1:29
They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,
Rom 1:30
slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31
foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
Rom 1:32
Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

What do you know? God actually has condemned such sin, just like other sin. God hates it all.
These are mild pictures for you consumption. One of the saddest things of all was of a little boy sitting in his little chair behaving so good. He looked like a little sweet child who was taking all the world had to offer. There will be no questions from him to his parents if this is right or not.
I pray that someone like us will one day proclaim the Gospel to him.

This is a church org.
This is a transvestite, dressed like a clown.

Sundance Square

Just a note to let me remember where I was last weekend. Friday night plans were changed from going out to Lower Greenville. We ended up at Sundance Sqaure. There wer many like minded witnesses for Christ out there from many different churches. It was good to be there.

The picture on the left is an odd one. Can you tell what is so odd about it?

Aaron is the guy holding one of my Spurgeon tracts. That is odd because Aaron admitted to being atheist. If you don't know what it means, the "a" equals without, "theist" means "god".

He believes in no god or God religion.

The guy standing next to him is Tim Crawford of the infamous TLC Ministries. http://www.lostcauseministries.com/. I like to hang out with those guys from TLC.

Back to Aaron. He had a long chat with Tim while I had a long chat with Aaron's entourage of girls. Three cutie girls who also heard the proclamation of the Gospel.

Another odd thing I guess, Aaron and some of the girls attend TCU! Texas "Christian" University. Thats where they recruite by calling it TCU, they are embarrassed using the proper name of the university.

Here are some of the guys that were out there last week. There is one more taking our picture. I will be putting up another youtube video up in just a day or two. I will contrast 2 open air preachers. No, one is not me. Not yet, I need a lot of practice on lost sinners. I know most of these guys, upper part is Chad, Jeff, ?, Ted a pastor, me, Tim and Javiar if I remember. Another good memory from another good night of preaching and witnessing one2one.

My Bulgarian Connection

On September 18, last Thursday I met two new friends, both from Bulgaria and both Christians. I met Lyubo the at the church I attend. Lyubo (Lyuboslav), made sure that I would meet his pastor, so he did. Dale and Liz Schropp who I've known for years from Countryside Church had both Lyubo and his pastor Bobby (Borislav) over for dinner. Liz's father came to the US when he was 16 years old! She said he would never say exactly how he did it without money or support. Liz invited the two over to read a bunch of notes, card, and letters given to her by friends and family she knew in her home town near Shumen I think.

The thing I took away from our time together was how much they enjoyed each other. All of them knew some of the same people and places. Lyubo and Bobby were very close as friends and I felt that they were just as close to Liz and Dale. I had a good time with new friends in Christ our Lord.

Bobby, Lyubo, me (Ron) Dale and Liz.

Lyubo is about to graduate from the Graduate School of Economics Kyoto University (http://www.kyoto-u.ac.jp/en. He will earn his masters degree there and might end up in Texas, we'll see. He needs a wife all you ladies out there. Bobby, stepped down from his pastoral duties to run Compass foundation (http://compassbg.org/). Check out the website.
Thank you Dale, Liz, Lyubo, and Bobby for a fun night of fellowship. I enjoyed it, and it is locked in my brain for a life time.

Grapefest 2008 Grapevine Texas

This is a shot during the heat of the
day. It gets hot here and that's why we choose the night. Every year thousands of people stroll through here. This is considered an historic district. But the one thing that is more historic is the rampid sin. After all wine and beer are the main drinks passing through the bloodstream here. About 8 of us were here Friday night. A lot of us did our first open air. I wanted to practice on whoever was in my range. If you passed by, you heard the Gospel. Imagine that, we were not even in church and people heard what they hardly ever hear or never hear at all; about their sin, their destination without repentence, salvation through Jesus Christ, justification, sanctification, holiness, mercy, and Grace.
This is the message they heard while waiting for the light to turn green. We had under 2 minutes to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, Him crucified, why he was crucified, why God hates sin so much, where he will actually send people, to the lake that burns with fire.
Yes, in just a few minutes more people heard this great message than those that hear it within the church walls.
Church is a great place to learn about doctrine, theology, life applications within a Biblical worldview. Since sinners hate the Word of God, church is not the place to go if you are one.
Since the sinner usually hangs out at bars, strip clubs, fiesta gatherings, wine festivals and churches that don't preach the gospel, then someone needs to go out and proclaim what they need to know about Christ and His salvation.
If I get them ready, I might show what God's tolerence bears. Our open air for the novices was a bit shakey at best. Ok, a lot shakey.

Mar 16:15
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Act 10:42
"And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.

Act 13:32
"And we preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers,

Rom 10:15
How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"

1Cr 1:17
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.

John Bunyan

John Bunyan Open-Air Preaching

More Spurgeon

Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) wrote:
The great benefit of open-air preaching is that we get so many newcomers to hear the Gospel who otherwise would never hear it. The Gospel command is, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” but it is so little obeyed that one would imagine that it ran thus, “Go into your own place of worship and preach the Gospel to the few creatures who will come inside.” “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in”— albeit it constitutes part of a parable, is worthy to be taken very literally, and in so doing its meaning will be best carried out.
We ought actually to go into the streets and lanes and highways, for there are lurkers in the hedges, tramps on the highways, street-walkers and lane-haunters, whom we shall never reach unless we pursue them into their own domains. Sportsmen must not stop at home and wait for the birds to come and be shot at, neither must fishermen throw their nets inside their boats and hope to take many fish. Traders go to the markets; they follow their customers and go out after business if it will not come to them; and so must we. Some of our brethren are prosing on and on to empty pews and musty hassocks, while they might be conferring lasting benefit upon hundreds by quitting the old walls for a while, and seeking living stones for Jesus. —From “Open-Air Preaching - A Sketch Of Its History And Remarks Thereon”

Lower Greenville

Blog a little late, My wife and I, joined together to go to the Lower Greenville area. My wife is so loving and kind. Even though she was getting bit up by those post fallen nature bugs called misquitoes she put up with it long enough to hand out a good supply of tracts. She never complained until the end when they were attacking here legs with gusto. That's when we left.

Now for the interview of Kellen. Prior to to leaving we did an interview with Kellen, a band member that plays at one of the corousing clubs. Kellen is surely going to hell unless the mercy of God has His Way with him. Kellen needs the Lord for his soul to be saved from the wrath of God. Kellen always justified himself even when he admitted to lying, thieving, adultery, and all the rest of the breaking of the commandments. Still in the end, even though he never relented from his goodness in his own eyes, I gave him the Gospel of my Lord Jesus Christ. He under stood it but still thinks God is "working" in his life. I agree! God's wrath is working in his life, even now. Please be looking for the interview by next week.

Thank you my lovely wife, my trophy wife, my life wife, for making my night more pleasing to me and therefore making it more pleasing to our Lord.

Pro 3:7
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

A Defensless Preacher?

Here is another Spurgeon quote I found that might find it's sharp iron peircing through many preachers hum drum regular life behind the pulpit.
"No sort of defense is needed for preaching out of doors; but it would need very potent arguments to prove that a man had done his duty who has never preached beyond the walls of his meeting-house. A defense is required rather for services within buildings than for worship outside of them."
I sure do love to read Spurgeon.
